QR Code Scanning for Urgent In-Classroom AV Technical Support
Information Technology Services is excited to introduce QR code scanning for in-classroom technical support. Using your mobile device camera and photo app, Faculty can now scan QR codes (located on or near the lectern) for a quicker more efficient AV technical support experience. With a simple scan, faculty can report an issue and a technician is immediately dispatched. Use your mobile device camera to scan the QR Code or visit humber.ca/avsupport.

An Electronic Classroom is a room that is equipped with a ceiling mounted data projector that is capable of projecting a computer or video image onto a projection screen. All electronic classrooms have a podium that contains a networked desktop computer, a connection for an external laptop and all the audio visual equipment (ie: VCR, DVD, audio amp, audio mixer, video switcher). Some spaces also allow tablets and personal devices to share a single display for active learning purposes. Operating instructions are posted inside the podium and a telephone is mounted on the side of the podium, which allows you to contact I.T. Support Centre, Maintenance or Security. Note that picking up the phone in a learning space connects one to our I.T. Support Centre for priority support.
