Scott Briggs is Vice President, Digital Innovation and Chief Information Officer at Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.  Scott joined Humber in 2008 and is responsible for the development of institutional IT strategy and providing technology services to the college community.  Scott is a member of the executive for the Ontario College Council of Chief Information Officers (OCCCIO).  Prior to joining Humber, Scott held several senior roles in the Ontario healthcare sector including Chief Information Officer at Markham Stouffville Hospital. 

Scott is a graduate of the University of Waterloo holding a masters degree in management science and an undergraduate degree in mathematics & computer science.

Ryan Burton is Director of Digital Solutions. He and the Digital Solutions Foundry are passionate about helping Humber optimize the way it operates and delivers value to the community. Think of them as creative problem solvers that exploit technology and supporting capabilities to deliver results. Ryan has over 20 years of leadership experience. He started his information technology journey in technical support before transitioning into an infrastructure operations and business innovation role in 2019. Areas of interest for Ryan and the Foundry include artificial intelligence; augmented/virtual reality; cloud computing; digital personal assistants; identification and authentication tools; and workspace virtualization. Ryan graduated top-of-his-class receiving a three-year Humber diploma in Computer Information Systems. He holds numerous certifications including ITIL v3, HDI-Director, Problem Management Professional, and Knowledge-centered Support. An avid Trekker, Ryan is also the proud father of two (Kyla and Aden) and enjoys traveling, cottaging, and genealogy.

Ruth Butlin is the Director of Enterprise Applications. She and her team support the ERP systems including the Student, Finance, and Human Resources information systems with services including business analysis, enterprise solutions management and enterprise technology services. 

Ruth holds an MBA and Public Policy Certificate from the University of Guelph, a Business Administration (Information Technology) diploma from St. Lawrence College, and is a certified PMP and Agile Scrum Master. She enjoys being engaged in the academic community as well, teaching and developing courses part-time. Ruth started out working in Enterprise Applications as a co-op student and liked it so much she never left, first working in Enterprise Applications at Queen’s University, then at the University of Guelph before joining Humber. 

Tanya Goncalves is the Director of I.T Client Services.  Tanya and her team are passionate about delivering the best customer experience by serving as an interface between business and technology. They leverage their technical expertise to support, advocate for and provide solutions.  With over 20 years of IT experience in an educational setting, Tanya is passionate about the success of students.  She enjoys travelling and residential construction projects.

Michelle Moore is the Director of Information Technology Security and Strategic Lead, Enterprise Web Project at Humber.  Michelle has 20 years of experience and her team manages the intake and portfolio reporting process for ITS , as well as leading technology projects for enterprise applications and departmental initiatives. She is also leading the creation of standards and a framework for information technology security to support the institution in an increasingly complex environment.  Michelle has her Bachelor of Arts in Communication studies , holds her PMP, and has enjoyed the opportunity to complete advanced certificates in change management , leadership, and process analysis.  Michelle is her family’s photographer and enjoys chronicling family events and adventures. She also loves to travel and experience new cultures.

Emeka is the acting Director for Humber’s Project Management Office (PMO).  His team supports mid to large scale capital, enterprise, digital and security programs, and projects within the institution.

Emeka has over 20 years professional experience working in the financial, health, telecommunications, and educational sectors. As acting director of the PMO, Emeka works closely with both academic and non-academic clients, to understand their business needs and how to effectively deliver business outcomes. He is passionate about coaching, mentoring, and building the PMO’s delivery methodology and governance process.

Emeka holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Networks from Middlesex University London, United Kingdom.

In addition, he has his Project Management Professional (PMP),  Information Technology Infrastructure Library- (ITIL V3) and Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) certifications.

His Hobbies include, playing chess, travelling, and learning about historical artifacts.
